Update from Team Headquarters - 1700HRS local time 23rd June 2004

Whilst the team is greatly disappointed by by the turbo failure and subsequent engine damage, the Arrow Mach 2 technicians got straight to the job of taking out the damaged engine and replacing it with the new engine which arrived at the AM2R base in Colorado Springs at 1400HRS.

As the technicians has been working hard for so many days already, Team Manager Alan Greenwood decided that they should end the day's work early so that the team could retire to it's "alternate" base at "The Keg" in Manitou Springs for some well earned "R & R".

Initial investigatory work on the turbo failure revealed that the air flow into the turbo likely rose to supersonic speed and caused the failure. Parts of the failing turbo then entered the engine and caused a problem there. Team Manager, Alan Greenwood, is in discussions with Garrett, Ca as to why this may have happened.

Mach 2 technicians, engine genius Geoff Page and Andy Price were supported by "The Canadian Three", volunteer technicians Rabin Rutten-James, Dan Fontaine and Gary Tholl. The team would have been lost without the heroic efforts of these technicians.
