Shakedown Test - MIRA - Tuesday 4th May 2004

Prior to shipping the RS200 to Colorado, the team has arranged a shakedown test at the Motor Industry Research Association testing facility.

Report by Mick Scholefield

With impending inclement weather, the team were quick to choose the handling circuit to test the improvements on the Arrow/Mach 2 RS200E. Final versions of different wing configurations were comparison tested by Stig Blomqvist who finally opted for the more conventional wing design, one that is proven to work on the hill. In addition,  Arne Johansen's of Jemba's revolutionary software driver aid was tested and found to remain a major advantage for Stig in his quest to become Champion of the Hill.

Team Manager Alan Greenwood commented that " It is comforting to come to a final shakedown test and not have to change anything. We feel that we have put together the strongest possible car and driver package to challenge the hill record"

With a very satisfactory test concluded, the car was loaded into it's container for it's voyage across the Atlantic and onward to Colorado. The team arrives in Colorado on 19th June 2004 and fans can contact the team via it's base at the Green Willow Motel in Manitou Springs, CO.
