Colin Blower Motorsport was established in 1973 when Colin Blower built his own MGB for the production car championship. Since then has been successful with Lotus, Mitsubishi, Porsche and of course TVR from 1974. Not only has he prepared cars for himself but for other highly respected customers as well, winning over 200 races and 9 championships in that time.

Because of the increasing demand of specialist work which has grown and grown, In 1990 the need arose to move the business into a large purpose built workshop specifically tailored for the increased demand of race preparation, which still continues to grow. Investing in the very latest high-tech equipment and leading to both businesses complementing each other.

The racing side of the business has grown out of all proportion and has led to considerable success both on and off the track. With drivers of the calibre of Tiff Needell, Thomas Erdos, Jamie Campbell-Walter, Gerry Marshall, Chris Hodgetts, Jason Yeomans and John Kent amongst many others who have witnessed the way in which Colin Blower Motorsports works.

Having built Colin Blower Motorsport into one of the most respected preparation companies in the country, dealing not only with the TVR Tuscan Challenge, but other motorsport projects as well, including a GT programme, which has earned the admiration and respect of many of the well known names in GT racing.

Once again Colin Blower Motorsport is likely to be at the forefront of the grid in 2001, we have recently been appointed by Ultima Sportscars to run the official works entry in this years British GT Championship, click here to go to our British GT Championship page for a more in depth look at our preparations for the forthcoming season. We are currently preparing 5 TVR Tuscans for the national championship, A Tuscan GT car and maintaining our latest acquisition, a 1965 Lola T70 Spyder - Ex Denny Hulme, owned by Harrogate Horseless Carriages. Recently we have been commissioned to rebuild and redevelop a Ford RS200 rally car for the Pikes Peak race in the USA, and will be driven by former world rally champion Stig Blomqvist. We have recently rebuilt a Lotus Cortina from a bare shell and it is now winning races regularly in the BARC historic touring car championship.

Our ASCAR build programme is nearing completion, two cars for US Automotive will be ready to hit the tracks in time for the first race at the newly constructed Rockingham oval.

A useful service to historic and road racing is our American tyre shaving (not buffing) machine, this can improve lap times from new tyres up to 2 seconds per lap.
