The Ups and Downs

The advance party from the Mach 2 Racing team departs from the UK today in order to set up the team's base in Manitou Springs, CO.

The team suffered a slight setback when US based race technician WeeGee Smith suffered a broken leg in a bike accident on two weeks before the race. The team can always rely on WeeGee however and he will be still be helping with most aspects of the final preparation of the car in race week (albeit with the aid of crutches).

Engine technician Geoff Page has had his usual busy time of things in the run up to race week having just returned from Le Mans 24 Hours where the Mountune prepared diesel engine in the Lola Caterpillar LMP1 impressed many.
